NCBA Wildcats Wins QCCAA 5 Crown
Defeating BESTLink College of the Philippines (BCP), the National College of Business and Arts (NCBA) Wildcats won the championship crown of the Quezon City Collegiate Athletic Association (QCCAA) 5, 82-80, last October 8 at the BCP Covered Court.
NCBA got off to a fantastic start leading BCP by as much as seven (7) points in the first half of the game despite the home court advantage of its opponent.
The turnovers, three-point shots and steals of its players, BCP managed to trim down the NCBA lead to four points in the last quarter of the game.
Wildcats coach Lesther Del Rosario told his men that they have to strengthen their defense if they really want to win the championships.
NCBA had only two-point lead over its opponent in the last twenty-three seconds of the game. But with the series of fouls committed by the BCP cagers and Justine Manzano converging one of his free throws combined with the powerful rebounds and steals of their team mates, the Wildcats ensured its win.
Damian Lasco was named Most Valuable Player (MVP). Lasco and CJ Catura were both declared in the mythical five.
